That probably means they have at least a few things in place do the same for iCloud, if Apple offers APIs they’re allowed to use. But they’ve never made it slower to get around my schedule than using “traditional” calendar UIs.Īnd while I don’t really use iCloud calendar, they did move to their own Google integration earlier this year (not dependent on internal calendar). There have definitely been small UI bugs here and there. Fantastical’s fancy hybrid day/agenda UI is really what I feel is worth paying for □ (Or at least it’s worth paying more for “pro” features to keep, given that it’s also in the free version!) It just has the same views of your schedule that Apple Calendar does, which is great on tablets and larger, but very limiting on phones (at least for me). I checked out the free version of Calendars 5 but the information density (amount of your schedule you can see at a time) was really limited. It looks like an android app not a polished ios app. As I mentioned I’ve used Fantastical previously and wasn’t impressed, it also had lots of bugs at the time and it relies on the apple stock calendar app to integrate gmail, icloud etc into it’s own app. ![]() They only charge a one time fee and don’t enforce a subscription system. Handles repetitive tasks and calendar events really well and auto fills location for meetings as you type very impressively. It also integrates collaboration tools like MS Teams, Zoom etc into the app. It does an excellent job of combining both events and tasks in the one app and handles multiple calendars really nicely. Top Con Bit complicated for everyone It is a feature oriented app for the people who love its multiple functions, but those that don't may find it complicated to use. I use the stock apple calendar app for work events and meetings and use calendars 5 for all my personal events and meetings. 14 Cons 3 Top Pro Manages much more than events Pocket informant manages notes, tasks, and calendar info. Tbf, if you’re using it for work and work is paying for the app, then you can probably justify the subscription.
